Beef And Brew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. light beer
    3/4 c. water
    1 bay leaf
    1/2 tsp. dried thyme, crushed
    1/8 tsp. ground pepper
    1 lb. round steak (fat trimmed), cut into 1-inch strips
    2 medium onions, cut in wedges
    2 medium green or sweet red peppers, cut in strips
    1/4 c. water
    2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    2 c. hot, cooked egg noodles
Preparation
    In a large saucepan, stir together beer, 3/4 cup water, bay leaf, 1/2 teaspoon salt, thyme and ground pepper.
    Stir in meat. Bring to boiling.
    Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 55 minutes. Add onions and peppers; simmer about 20 minutes or until beef is tender.
    Remove bay leaf.
