Ingredients

2 egg whites
2/3 c. sugar
pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans (optional)
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
Beat egg whites until stiff, adding sugar gradually.
Beat in salt and vanilla.
Fold in pecans and chocolate chips.
Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Place in oven.
Turn oven off.
Do not open door until oven is cool (overnight).
Yields 4 to 6 dozen.
