Quiche Lorraine - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pastry for 9-inch single crust
    12 slices crispy crumbled bacon
    1 c. shredded Swiss cheese (4 oz. natural cheese)
    1/2 c. minced onion
    4 eggs
    2 c. whipped or half and half cream
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. sugar
    1/8 tsp. cayenne red pepper
Preparation
    Heat oven to 425\u00b0.
    Sprinkle bacon, cheese and onion on pastry lined pie pan.
    Beat eggs and blend in remaining ingredients. Pour onto pie pan on top of first 3 ingredients.
    Bake 15 minutes, then reduce oven to 300\u00b0 and bake 30 minutes longer or until knife comes out clean.
    Let pie stand 10 minutes before serving.
    Makes 6 main dish slices.
