Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    32 oz. frozen hash browns (Kroger's Southern style potatoes work fine)
    1/2 c. melted butter
    1 (8 oz.) container sour cream
    1/2 c. onion
    1 tsp. salt (optional)
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 can cream of chicken soup (undiluted)
    2 c. grated Cheddar cheese (sharp)
Preparation
    Place potatoes in bottom of casserole.
    Mix other ingredients and pour over potatoes.
