Smothered Cabbage - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 medium cabbage, cored and cut up
1/2 lb. ham, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1 small sweet pepper, chopped
salt and pepper
sugar
Preparation
-
In a heavy pot, saute ham until slightly brown.
Add onion and saute until soft.
Add cabbage and sweet pepper and cook down until soft and juicy.
Uncover and cook until liquid evaporates. Add salt, pepper and sugar to taste.
Serves 6.
