Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/4 c. molasses
3/4 c. Crisco
1 egg
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves

Preparation

Mix by hand the first 3 ingredients.
Mix together egg, flour, baking soda, cinnamon and cloves.
Mix shortening and sugar well. Add molasses and egg.
Beat well.
Add flour mixture.
Mix well. Pinch a small piece of cookie mixture.
Roll into a small ball. Dip into sugar.
Put on cookie sheet and press down with bottom of small glass that has been greased and sugared.
Do not grease pan. Bake in 300\u00b0 oven for 15 minutes.
