Bea'S Cold Oven Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour (all-purpose)
    1 c. cake flour (self-rising)
    2 sticks butter
    1/2 c. shortening
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. milk
    6 eggs
    3 tsp. lemon or vanilla extract
Preparation
    Sift flour together 6 times.
    Cream butter and shortening well. Add sugar gradually. Add flour, a small portion at a time, alternating with milk.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
    Add extract. Turn into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. Put in cold oven.
    Turn on oven and set at 325\u00b0.
    Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
