Chocolate Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3/4 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. sifted flour
1/4 c. cocoa
1 tsp. soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. allspice
1 1/2 c. applesauce

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Sift together dry ingredients.
Add alternately with the applesauce to creamed mixture.
Pour into pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
