Easy Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, slightly beaten
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. scalded milk
Preparation
    Heat oven to 450\u00b0.
    Cover edge of pastry with 1 1/2-inch wide strip of aluminum foil.
    Thoroughly mix eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla.
    Slowly stir in hot milk.
    Pour immediately into unbaked pie shell (to avoid spills, fill at oven).
    Sprinkle top with nutmeg.
    Bake about 20 minutes or until silver knife inserted from side of filling comes out clean.
    Serve warm or cold.
