Ingredients

1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. milk
1/2 c. water
1 c. sugar
1 can pie cherries
1/2 tsp. almond extract
Preparation

Melt 1 stick butter in pudding pan.
Mix into a batter the 1 cup sugar, flour, salt, baking powder and milk.
Pour on top of butter.
Bring to boil the water, 1 cup sugar, cherries and almond extract.
Pour this on top of batter.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
Batter will rise to top and brown.
