Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 medium potatoes
    1 carrot
    1 small onion
    1/4 green pepper
    2 qt. water
    1 qt. milk
    salt to taste
    pepper to taste
    2 c. diced ham
Preparation
    Peel and dice potatoes.
    Peel and dice carrots.
    Dice onion. Dice green pepper.
    Add vegetables to boiling water until tender. Add vegetables and water they were boiled in, to 1 quart simmering milk.
    Add ham.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    Simmer about 30 minutes.
