Macaroon Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    18 small soda crackers (break in pieces)
    3 egg whites
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 pt. whipping cream
    3 Tbsp. pineapple preserves
Preparation
    Beat
    egg whites until foamy.
    Fold in cream of tartar, beat until stiff.
    Fold in sugar, crackers, nuts and vanilla. Spread in\tbuttered
    cake\tpan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 minutes. Let\tcool. Whip
    cream stiff, fold in preserves and spread on pie.
    Let stand before cutting.
