V-8 Juice Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large can V-8 juice (46 oz.)
    5 to 6 sticks celery
    1 (1 lb.) bag carrots
    2 medium onions
    3 medium potatoes
    stew beef, simmered and chunked with fat removed
    3 or 4 bay leaves
    1 tsp. salt (if desired)
Preparation
    May cook for about 2 hours on top of stove or 6 hours on low in crock-pot.
