Ingredients

1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. sugar
2 pkg. yeast
2 1/2 c. warm water
5 Tbsp. shortening
6 c. flour
Preparation

Mix as you would bread dough.
Let rise 10 minutes and punch down.
Repeat 5 times.
Form into 8 flat balls.
Let rise 10 minutes.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 30 or 35 minutes.
Cut centers out, then scoop out bread.
Fill with your favorite soup, chili or stew, then eat your bowl.
