Chocolate Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
3 egg yolks
2 c. milk
3/4 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. butter
2 tsp. vanilla
3 egg whites
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
6 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Mix the cocoa, sugar, cornstarch and salt.
Add unbeaten egg yolks and milk; stir well.
Cook in double boiler; stir often until thickened.
Remove from heat.
Add vanilla and butter.
Pour into baked 9-inch pie shell.
Cover with meringue.
