Cheese Straws - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. Cheddar cheese, sharp
2 sticks of butter
4 c. sifted self-rising flour
1 tsp. red pepper
Preparation

Grate cheese, add red pepper. Work butter in and work flour in. Blending well. Put on floured boards and roll about 1/2 inch thick, press down with fork, cut in strips and cook in hot over, 425\u00b0 about 10 minutes or until golden brown. If these are packed in air-tight container they will keep for weeks.
