Cracker Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg whites
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    18 soda crackers, crushed
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until foamy; add cream of tartar.
    Beat until stiff.
    Beat in sugar gradually.
    Fold in crackers, nuts and vanilla.
    Pour into a greased pie pan.
    Bake for 35 to 45 minutes at 325\u00b0.
    Cool before adding filling.
