Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1 c. syrup
    3 c. nuts
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. salt
    1 heaping tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Combine first 3 ingredients and bring to a boil. Add nuts. When mixture darkens a bit, add butter.
    When mixture starts to boil and become brown, remove from heat.
    Add salt and baking soda, mixing well. Pour immediately into buttered pans and pound to get air bubbles out.
    When cool, remove from pans.
