Chocolate Covered Pecan Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (14 oz.) pkg. vanilla caramels
    2 Tbsp. evaporated milk
    2 c. pecan halves
    1 (8 oz.) milk chocolate bar, broken into squares
    1/3 bar paraffin wax, broken into pieces
Preparation
    Combine caramels and milk in top of double boiler.
    Heat until caramels melt, stirring occasionally.
    Beat with a wooden spoon until creamy.
    Add pecans; stir well to combine.
    Drop by teaspoon onto buttered wax paper.
    Let stand 15 minutes.
    Combine chocolate bar and paraffin in top of double boiler; heat until melted and smooth, stirring occasionally.
    Dip each fritter into chocolate with a toothpick.
    Place on waxed paper to cool.
    Yields 4 dozen.
