Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 to 2 lb. flank steak
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 pkg. brown gravy mix
    1 1/4 c. water
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    rice
Preparation
    Thinly slice flank steak, diagonally.
    Brown with onion in oil.
    Stir
    in mixture of brown gravy mix, 1 1/4 cups water and soy
    sauce.
    Stir
    until
    thickened.
    Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Add
    2 large green peppers, cut in thin strips and 1 large tomato
    (if desired), cut in wedges.
    Simmer 10 minutes and serve over rice.
