Southern Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. Self-Rising Corn Meal Mix
    1 1/4 to 1 1/2 c. Milk or Buttermilk
    1/4 c. Vegetable Oil or Melted Shortening
    1 Egg
    1 to 2 Tbsp. Sugar (Optional)
Preparation
    Preheat well greased 8 x 10 inch heavy skillet in 425 degree oven, or grease an 8 x 8 inch baking pan.
    Blend all ingredients and pour into skillet or pan.
