Tuna Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. each: cubed onions, celery and potatoes
    1 1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. canned tomatoes, cut up
    3 c. milk
    1 (6 oz.) can solid white tuna, drained
    2 Tbsp. minced parsley
Preparation
    Saute the vegetables in the butter until they are tender, stirring often (about 15 minutes).
    Stir in the seasonings and flour.
    Add tomatoes, milk, tuna and parsley.
    Heat and continue stirring, until soup is thickened.
    Add cheese, if desired.
