Layered Vegetable Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large head lettuce, torn in bite-size pieces
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. thin sliced green pepper
    1/2 c. sliced celery
    1 (5 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen green peas
    1 1/2 c. Hellmann's mayonnaise
Preparation
    Layer as given.
    Top with Hellmann's, sealing to edge. Refrigerate overnight.
    Toss just before serving.
