Jaeger Potatoes(Austrian Mountain Dish) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    whole, unpeeled, washed potatoes (allow 2 per serving)
    butter or margarine to taste
    6 or more slices bacon, finely chopped
    2 medium onions, coarsely chopped
Preparation
    Boil
    potatoes whole with skins on.
    While potatoes are cooking,
    brown
    bacon in a skillet until crisp.
    Remove bacon bits
    from\tskillet.
    In
    bacon fat, brown onions until almost black.
    Drain
    off\tfat.
    Peel and coarsely chop hot potatoes. Add bacon
    bits,
    onions
    and\tbutter to potatoes.
    Mix well. Serve as a side dish with meat and gravy.
