Crispy Ginger Snaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 C. shortening (scant)
    1 C. sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    4 Tbsp. molasses
    2 tsp. baking soda
    2 C. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. ginger
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Mix shortening and sugar, then add egg and molasses.
    Sift the dry ingredients and add to first mixture. Using hands roll into balls the size of a walnut.
    Dip top in sugar and place on cookie sheet.
    Leave space between each for spreading.
