Pickled Bean Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    2/3 c. vinegar
    1/3 c. salad oil
    1 tsp. salt
    1 small onion diced
    1 c. cut green beans
    1 c. cut yellow beans
    1 can red kidney beans
Preparation
    Combine sugar, vinegar, salad oil, salt and onion.
    Bring to a boil.
    Drain all beans.
    Put in a bowl and pour boiling liquid over the beans.
    Let stand 24 hours.
    Will keep several weeks in refrigerator.
