Banana Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/3 c. flour
    1/8 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    2 c. scalded milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix sugar, flour and salt; add beaten egg yolks and pour on gradually the scalded milk.
    Cook 15 minutes in a double boiler, stirring until thick.
    Cool and add vanilla.
    Put in cooked pie shell.
    Add 2 or 3 sliced bananas and top with meringue made of egg whites and sugar.
