Asparagus Chicken Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 can asparagus (14 oz.) or 1/2 lb. fresh asparagus, cut in pieces and cooked
    2 c. coarsely chopped, cooked chicken (more chicken can be used, if desired)
    1/4 lb. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. corn muffin mix
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    chopped pimentos or stuffed olives
Preparation
    Melt butter in 8-inch square pan or small, shallow casserole. Drain asparagus and reserve liquid (1/2 cup).
    Arrange asparagus in melted butter.
    Add chicken and sprinkle with cheese.
    Prepare muffin mix according to package directions.
    Carefully spoon batter on top of cheese as evenly as possible.
    Bake in preheated oven at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
