Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 c. chopped onion
    3 celery stalks, sliced
    1 c. frozen peas, thawed in hot water and drained
    1 1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    3 large tomatoes
    1/2 c. Italian dressing
    1/4 lb. bacon
    2 boiled eggs
    black olives (if desired)
Preparation
    Prepare salad.
    Shred lettuce and place in bottom of large glass bowl.
    Then layer green pepper, onion, celery and peas. Spread with mayonnaise.
    Sprinkle with cheese.
    Cut tomatoes into cubes and arrange on salad.
    Pour on Italian dressing.
    Fry bacon and crumble on top of tomatoes.
    Garnish with boiled eggs and black olives.
