Oyster Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. oysters
    1/4 c. butter
    1 qt. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    Melt butter; add oysters and oyster liquid.
    Simmer gently until edges begin to curl.
    Scald milk and add to oysters.
    Add salt and pepper.
    Heat, but do not boil.
