Mom'S Chili Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    24 ripe tomatoes
    4 onions
    2 sweet peppers
    2 hot peppers
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. cloves (scant)
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1 c. vinegar (scant)
Preparation
    Peel tomatoes and grind.
    Also onions and peppers.
    Combine ingredients and cook until the mixture is thick (about 3 hours). The sugar should be added after it starts to thicken.
    Stir often so it doesn't stick.
    Seal in jars.
    Makes about 8 pints.
