Mississippi Mud - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    4 eggs
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/3 c. cocoa
    1 1/4 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. nuts, chopped
    1 pkg. miniature marshmallows
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs and beat.
    Stir in flour, cocoa and salt.
    Add to mixture.
    Add vanilla and nuts. Pour in 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Spread marshmallows.
    Return to oven and melt.
