Strawberry Jam - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. strawberries
    5 c. water
Preparation
    Wash and hull strawberries. Cover with boiling water for 3 minutes.
    Drain. Put berries in kettle with 3 cups sugar; stir berries and sugar until all coated.
    Turn off heat and let stand 3 minutes.
    Add remaining sugar and stir over heat until sugar is dissolved.
    Let boil 3 minutes more; remove from heat and let stand 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Pour into hot sterilized glasses and seal with paraffin.
