Boston Brown Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. all-bran
1 c. entire wheat flour
1 c. corn meal
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. soda
3/4 c. molasses or honey
1 tsp. melted fat
Preparation

Mix the dry ingredients.
Mix the liquid ingredients and add them gradually to the dry.
Fill well-greased molds 2/3 full. Steam 3 1/2 hours.
Butter the cover before placing it on the mold.
Baking powder tins may be used for molds.
When done, remove the lids and brown in oven, if desired.
