Dill Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    cucumbers
    hot peppers
    dill (about 1 piece per qt. jar)
    1 qt. red vinegar
    2 qt. water
    1/2 c. salt
    1/2 tsp. alum
Preparation
    Pack cucumbers, peppers and dill in jars.
    Bring remaining ingredients (except the alum) to a rolling boil.
    Pour into jars over cucumbers, then add the alum to each jar and seal.
