Over 110-Year-Old Pie Crust Recipe - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 c. lard
    1 egg
    cold water
Preparation
    Cut lard into flour and salt.
    Beat egg until light in color in a 1-cup measuring cup.
    Add vinegar and fill cup with cold water.
    Add just barely enough liquid to hold dough together, about 4 tablespoons.
    Handle dough as little as possible.
    Roll out into pastry and proceed as for any pastry.
    Makes enough pastry for 2 (9-inch) pie shells.
