Lentil Barley Stew - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 to 4 Tbsp. margarine
1/3 c. onion, chopped
1/2 c. celery, chopped
1 lb. can stewed tomatoes
4 c. water or vegetable stock
1/2 c. lentils, rinsed
1/3 c. pearl barley
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. rosemary
1/3 c. shredded carrot
Preparation
-
Saute onion and celery in margarine.
Add rest of ingredients. Simmer 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Very good; low-fat.
