Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. scalded milk, heated almost to boiling point
    1 c. sugar
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    2 eggs, well beaten
    5 heaping Tbsp. Crisco (2/3 c. melted)
    7 to 8 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. salt (scant)
Preparation
    To the scalded milk add the sugar in a large bowl.
    Cool to lukewarm.
    Add the yeast and stir well to dissolve.
    Add eggs and melted shortening.
    Slowly stir in the flour and salt.
    Let rise at room temperature for 2 hours.
