Au Gratin Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. potatoes
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/4 c. butter
    1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 c. milk
    8 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
    1/4 c. dry bread crumbs (fine)
Preparation
    Peel potatoes and slice thinly to measure about 4 cups.
    Cook and stir in onions in margarine in 2-quart saucepan until tender. Stir in flour, salt and pepper.
    Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is bubbly.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in milk and 1 1/2 cups of cheese (about 6 ounces).
    Heat to a boil, stirring constantly.
    Boil and stir 1 minute.
