Flora Raper'S Candied Yams - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    cooked potatoes (unpeeled)
    white sugar
    brown sugar
    butter
    cinnamon
    vanilla
Preparation
    Cook potatoes until done.
    Pour cold water over them to cool. Peel and cut in desired servings.
    In a large glass dish, place potatoes.
    Put a good amount of white sugar over potatoes (no water).
    Let stand overnight.
    When ready to bake, cover with brown sugar.
    Dot with butter.
    Sprinkle with cinnamon and a few drops of vanilla.
    Add water if needed.
    Bake at 350\u00b0.
