French Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. water
    2 pkg. yeast
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. Crisco
    1/2 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. salt
    5 c. flour
Preparation
    Add yeast, sugar and salt to warm water.
    Mix Crisco with 1/2 the flour and all milk until mealy, then add yeast mixture.
    Add rest of flour; let rise in greased pan until double.
    Roll out in long rolls; brush with milk.
    Let rise again, then bake at 400\u00b0 for about 30 minutes.
