Sourdough Hot Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. starter
    2 c. flour
    2 c. milk
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. soda
    2 eggs
    3 Tbsp. melted shortening
    2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    About 12 hours before serving, mix starter, flour, milk and salt.
    Let stand in a cheese covered bowl in a warm place.
    Just before baking, remove 1 cup batter to replenish sourdough in crock, to the remaining batter, add soda, eggs, shortening and sugar.
