Our Favorite Meat Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. white vinegar
    1 tsp. yellow or brown mustard
    1 egg, beaten
    1 medium onion
    1/4 c. cracker crumbs
    2 lb. ground beef
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    In small bowl, mix tomato sauce, mustard, vinegar and brown sugar; set aside.
    Mix beef, onion, egg, crackers, salt and pepper.
    Add half of tomato sauce mixture and blend.
    Shape into loaf and make depression in center.
    Pour the rest of the tomato sauce over the top of the loaf.
    Cook for 18 to 20 minutes, uncovered, or until center is cooked.
    Let stand 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
