Oatmeal Scotchies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. (2 sticks) margarine, softened
    3/4 c. granulated sugar
    3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla or 2 tsp. grated orange peel
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    3 c. quick or old fashioned uncooked oats
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. butterscotch flavored morsels
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Beat margarine, sugar, eggs and vanilla until creamy.
    Gradually add combined flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon; mix well.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Drop by level measuring tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake 7 to 8 minutes for a chewy cookie or 9 to 10 minutes for a crisp cookie. Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheet and remove to wire rack.
    Cool completely.
