Judy'S Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. sirloin steak
    1 can water chestnuts, sliced
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    3 large green peppers
    4 green onions
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    1/2 c. beef bouillon
    1/4 c. vegetable oil
    1 clove garlic
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    2 large onions
    1/2 c. cold water
    1/2 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Cut steak with kitchen shears into 1/8-inch thick slices.
    Heat oil in skillet; add garlic, salt and pepper.
    Saute until garlic is golden.
    Add steak slices; brown slightly for 2 minutes.
    Remove meat.
    Add green peppers and onions; cook 3 minutes.
    Return beef to pan; add soy sauce, sugar, bouillon and green onions.
    Also add water chestnuts and cornstarch (dissolved in cold water).
    Simmer about 2 minutes or until sauce thickens.
    Serve over rice.
