Marinated Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large cabbage
    1 medium green pepper
    1 medium onion
    2 or 3 carrots, hand grated
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1/4 c. Mazola oil
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Chop cabbage, pepper, onion and mix with grated carrots.
    Mix 1 cup sugar and salt.
    Pour over vegetables.
    Heat vinegar, oil and 2 tablespoons sugar until sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes.
    Cool slightly.
    Pour over all other ingredients and stir well.
    Put in glass or stoneware jar only.
    Cover and let set for 24 hours.
