Lemon Sponge Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. butter
1 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. flour
2 eggs, separated
juice of 1 lemon
2 c. milk
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add flour and beaten egg yolks.
Add juice and milk; mix well.
Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into mixture.
Bake in glass pie plate so you can see the bottom to check for browning.
Bake on lower rack at 425\u00b0 for 20 minutes. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
Check for brownness.
Test along edge with butter knife; if it comes out clean, it is done.
