Cucumber Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 large or 6 medium cucumbers
2 Tbsp. salt
1 c. white vinegar
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. white pepper
Preparation

The day before, scrub and peel cucumbers.
Slice thinly and put into a bowl.
Add 2 tablespoons salt in bowl of cucumbers. Press water from cucumbers by placing plate on top of cucumbers and placing a heavy can on top of plate for several hours.
Drain cucumbers and pat with a towel.
In another bowl, combine vinegar, sugar and pepper.
Pour over cucumbers.
Refrigerate covered cucumbers overnight.
