Strawberry Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. milk
    2 1/4 c. self-rising flour
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 stick margarine
    1 c. sugar (save for batter on pan)
    1 pt. strawberries, cut up
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. Cream sugar and shortening. Add milk and flour alternately. Blend well and add eggs and vanilla. In an oblong cake pan, melt margarine and sprinkle 1 cup sugar over this. Spread strawberries evenly in pan and pour batter over them. Bake until brown and slices are crusty (about 30 to 40 minutes).
