Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. instant milk powder
1 Tbsp. baking powder
2 sticks butter or margarine
3/4 c. peanut butter
1 1/4 c. packed light brown sugar
1 large egg
2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease cookie sheets.
Mix first three ingredients.
Beat butter, peanut butter and brown sugar in a large bowl with electric mixer until pale and fluffy.
Beat in egg and vanilla.
Stir in flour mixture until thoroughly blended. Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
Place 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheet.
With tines of fork, press down on each cookie to make a crisscross design.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown.
Remove to a wire rack to cool.
Makes 50.
